Two things.

One. Are any competent front-enders currently looking for work?
A friend urgently needs someone for a week or so (?) to cut up Photoshop designs and put them together with some .Net stuff.

Two. Does anyone know how I can absolutely position a javascript alert dialog box thingy on the screen without having to completely override window.alert?

Three. Haha made you look.

:-)

one. what kind of .net are we talking? i don't have time to do it myself (and i don't use photoshop) but i know a man who might be interested in it and i could give some help with the coding ..

two. there's no way except for implementing something similar with showModalDialog(), which (i think) is IE only (and will have ugly status bars etc unless you're a trusted site).

three. why you!1

the front end stuff is basically using a middle tier i'll be producing to supply data and do the actual work and producing user controls and pages along with slicing up design flats.

they'll need to know basic asp.net (vb.net) but don't need to be gods gift to development or anything. like i say, i'll be doing all the back end work for this job...the system we have to talk to is not pretty and we don't have time for someone to pick it up.

i think we may have found someone for this bit of work but a cv and contact details would be useful in case this person doesn't come off and for future bits of work.

it'd be more like 2-4 weeks for this job i think but we may keep them around afterwards, not sure at this point.

anyone interested should send a cv to jdockrill@musicchoice.co.uk
